Details

Belgian-style golden ale aged in bourbon barrels. Portland, Maine has been our home since 1995. Just like when we started, we're an independent brewery striving to make the best Belgian-inspired to make the best Belgian-inspired beer in the world. We hope that you enjoy our beer as much a we enjoy making them. And if you're ever up in Portland, we're open seven days a week for tours and tastings. We'd love to have you stop by! First Brewed back in 2004, Curieix was our initial foray into barrel aging. To make Curieux, we take our Triple and let it age in bourbon barrels for seven week. Once that time is up, we take the beer out of our cold cellars and blend it back with a portion of fresh Triple. The resulting rich, golden ale features smooth notes of coconut, vanilla, and a hint of bourbon. Grains: Allagash 2-row malted barley blend. Hops: Nugget, hallertau. Yeast: house.
